Congrats! You're subscribed.

Storytelling is a fantastic way for individuals impacted by crime or hardship to convey their experiences to the community and the world. It can assist in the healing process by allowing a person to feel and express their emotions and know that others are listening and understanding.

Our project is aimed at allowing individuals who have been directly affected by the criminal justice system and incarceration to speak and share their experiences and explain the struggles that may have lead them to crime. As a society, we rarely stop to hear the side of the convicted; and as a community, we have a responsibility to help our neighbors when they stumble and fall. All of the individuals featured were residents of "Gemeinschaft Home" in Harrisonburg, Virginia during the time of their interview.

We hope you enjoy their stories!
